Gigi Varlotta

Gigi Varlotta is a senior visual arts major at Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts 6-12. Participating in countless workshops, collaborating with non-profits and networking with environmental players across the region, Giovanna helped students in her school better understand the role of the individual in the environmental movement, as well as ultimately designing, constructing and implementing “The Green Machine” –a school wide recycling center. She created her school’s first environmental club, and hopes to contribute to sustainable environmental practices throughout the world.
